Technical Project Manager (US – East/Southeast) - Virtual Instruments

The Technical Project Manager (PM) works closely with the Service Delivery Manager (SDM), and is responsible for the success of the project, from project initiation through completion. Along with the SDM, the PM develops a detailed project plan in support of the scope of work, and initiates change control as required. Requests and coordinates resources working with the Regional Service Manager, Services Delivery Manager, and manages resources and their usage on the project. Escalates all project issues that arise using the escalation process, and communicates all escalations to the account team and SDM. Reports status against plan, manages all project milestones, schedules support creates and delivers milestone completion forms and forecasts revenue recognition. A Project Manager will communicate with customers at all levels, must be divisive in approach and flexible in action.

Primary Responsibilities:

Customer Implementation & Configuration
Set client expectations at the beginning of projects so that VI can meet or beat these expectations.
Responsible for the delivery of the implementation and management of activities on a daily basis
Single point of contact for all project implementation issues
Change controls as neccessary for project execution
Establishes project goals, timelines, milestones and project plan, and maintains customer satisfaction for the project.
Provides Project Status Reporting on a weekly basis to SDM
Facilitates effective meetings and holds regular status review meetings with customer both external and internal
Escalates through SDM during the course of the project
Coordinates and conducts post-project review meeting with the client and customer service
Develop test strategies and milestone acceptance criteria
Work breakdown schedule and resource planning
Communication across groups including escalations and case resolution
Tracking and reporting of all project revenue around services related activities including investment (non billable) work, evaluations or anything that requires post-sale resources.
Delivery time tracking and budget control
Project milestone completion tracking

3-5 Years of similar experience in the industry or related industry
Senior Project Manager will have 7+ years of experience in the industry and/or 3+ years of company experience
Highly organized and thorough
Can travel and engage face-to-face with customers in a professional manner
Represents the company message, direction and progress in a meaningful way
ITIL Foundation preferred
